Located in Hillier Ward, Prince Edward County, ON, this 1880's farmhouse had been neglected for some time.  As we began unpeeling the layers of this vintage home, we discovered gorgeous original post and beam construction lay beneath the lath and plaster and leaned into this history by exposing beams and re-using old materials.. The home underwent a mindful restoration; we infused modern contemporary styles while respecting its original architectural design. The transformation included a large addition over the existing garage to create a primary bedroom with en-suite, vaulted ceilings and stunning views out over the back vineyard.  We also re-configured some of the main floor layout by removing  walls to create an open concept living space. Other features included an all new upgraded kitchen, a glassed-in wine storage cabinet, the addition of a full bathroom on the main floor, plus upgraded bedrooms and a laundry room on the upper floor. ​The Cold Creek farmhouse was completed and sold July 2022.
